Typeit! is a Free Malayalam language editor, where you can type and edit documents in Malayalam.
Typeit! supports six Malayalam Keyboards. They are Inscript (ISM), GIST, Malayalam Typewriter, Panchami, Panchari and Varityper Phonetic keyboard Layout. Anyone who is familier with any of the above keyboard layouts can use Typeit! with ease.
The user interface is very simple and user friendly. Any user who is familiar with Windows can use this. You can switch between Malayalam font and English font by pressing Caps Lock.
You can change keyboard layouts easily by pressing F2 for ISM, F3 for GIST, F4 for Malayalam Typewriter, F8 for Panchari and F9 for Vertityper Phonetic.
The another feature is hyphenation. Typeit! automatically hyphenate your documents, so that you can export it correctly to other applications. If you don't want hyphenation you can switch off by Hyphenation->Auto Hyphen command from Tools Menu.
It is easy to export the typed text in to other applications. It can be done by two ways. One method is to copy the typed matter and paste in to the other applications such as Word, PageMaker, Quark Xpress etc. Or you can save the document in RTF (Rich Text Format) and import in to other apllications.
By default, Malayalam font is ML-TTRevathi. Font and FontSize can be changed using SetFont Command from Format Menu. You can convert your documents to Unicode. Unicode is very useful if you are using internet.
Typeit! now comes with an English-Malayalam Dictionary. You can select dictionary from Tools menu.

While saving to rtf format in ML-TTKarthika font,some fonts are missing. "inda" malayalam charecter as in "chenda" is not displayed in Word and Wordpad etc in ML-TTKarthika font.How to resolve this issue.

ReplyDeleteKevin, I am facing this problem in MLTT Karthika for long time. Somebody changed the character map of MLTTKarthika and replaced it with MLKarthika character map for the letter NTA.
ReplyDeleteI dont know still I am keeping that version of MLTTKarthika. But it is legaly not correct.

ReplyDeleteNew release of type it 4.72 with unicode conversion is good.If there is a covert option to "MLW" series, it would be more useful,as ML series doesnt display some letters.
ReplyDeleteCould you provide an option to set "MLW-TTRevathi" in addition to "ML-TTRevathi" in Format menu > set font."ML-..." fonts cannot display "ണ്ട" in MS Word like applications. So users can select either MLW or ML fonts.

ഇനി എങ്ങനെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാം.
1. ആദ്യം notepad, word or browser ഏതെങ്കിലും തുറക്കുക, എന്നിട്ട് CTRL+M ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്ത്; മലയാളത്തിൽ എഴുതുക.
എന്നിട്ട് എഴുതിയവ select ചെയ്ത് copy ചെയ്യുക.
2. TypeIt എന്ന software തുറക്കുക അതിൽ, Convert -> Paste From -> Unicode എന്നത് ക്ലീക്ക് ചെയ്യുക. തുടർന്ന് അവിടെ കാണുന്ന നമ്മൾ എഴുതിയ മലയാളം വാക്കുകൾ select ചെയ്യുക, എന്നിട്ട് Convert -> Copy To -> FML ക്ലിക്ക് ചെയ്യുക (അല്ലെങ്കിൽ CTRL G)
3. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തതിന് ശേഷം ആ മലയാളം content copy ചെയ്യുക.
4. ഇനി ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പ് തുറന്ന്, Text Tool എടുത്ത് Paste ചെയ്യുക, എന്നിട്ട് നേരത്തെ install ചെയ്ത FML-Fonts സെലക്ട് ചെയ്ത്, ആവശ്യത്തിനനുസരിച്ചുള്ള ഫോണ്ട് ഉപയോഗിക്കുക.

But that font is not getting supported in Adobe Pagemaker. Is there any option to convert the matter typed in varamozhi to the default font of Typeit, ML-TTRevathi?

I have a humble request - Could you please add the font anagha as a target font in the conversion list. Typeit already has "anagha" font as a source font. This will be of great use to people like me who are using anagha. I have plenty of Unicode documents that need to be converted to anagha font.

ReplyDeleteടൈപ്പിറ്റിലെ Indesign Tagged Text ആയുള്ള Export വളരെ ഉപകാരപ്രദം. താങ്ക്സ്. indesignൽ മാഗസിൻ സപ്ലിമെന്റ് തുടങ്ങിയ വർക്കുകള്‍ ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വളരെ വിഷമകരമായ ഒന്നായിരുന്നു ിീുൂ തുടങ്ങിയ ചിഹ്നങ്ങൾ അടുത്ത വരിയിലേക്ക് പോകുക എന്നത്. Shift Enter കൊണ്ട് അഡ്ജസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു പതിവ്. അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായാണ് Exportൽ ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു Option കണ്ടത്. സോഫ്റ്റ് വെയർ വിശദീകരണത്തിൽ ഇത് കാണുന്നുമില്ല. ഇങ്ങനെ Export ചെയ്യുന്ന ഫയലുകളിൽ ഈ പ്രശ്നം കണ്ടില്ല. കൂടാതെ Justification കൂടുതൽ നന്നാവുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

DeleteHello Sharon Razack, following your answer to Golden Eye, I downloaded and installed Typeit 4.88 and the fonts. I use ISM v3.0 and I was looking for a way to avoid the "nda" problem. That was the only problem I had. But when I pasted content from ISM to Typeit, 'nda's were okay, but 'nna's were found to have problem.

It is a notepad based typing software. key is equal to ISM. is there any possibility to convert UNICODE matter to this Mediacust font. Please let me know. I tried all the possibilities in Typeit.

Hi, ഞാന്‍ മലയാളം ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാം ഗൂഗിള്‍ IME ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. പക്ഷെ ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കൂട്ടക്ഷരങ്ങളും ചില്ലക്ഷരങ്ങളും വരുന്നില്ല. TypeIt ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്തു. അതില്‍ ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്തിട്ട കുറെ ചതുരങ്ങള്‍ മാത്രം തെളിഞ്ഞു വരുന്നു... എന്നാല്‍ വിന്ഡോസ് വേര്‍ഡ്‌ പോലുള്ള സോഫ്റ്റ്‌വെയറില്‍ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് ഒന്നും ഇല്ല.. ഈ പ്രശനം എങ്ങനെ പരിഹരിക്കാം?

Deleteഎന്റെ കൈയില്‍ ISM ടൈപ് ചെയ്ത ഒരു പാട് മാറ്റര്‍ ഉണ്ട് . ഇപ്പോള്‍ അത് ബ്ലോഗില്‍ അപ്പ്‌ ലോഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ എന്താണ് ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് . ഞാന്‍ ടൈപ് ഇറ്റ് സോഫ്റ്റ് വെയര് ഇന്‍സ്ടാള്‍ ചെയ്തു . ism ല്‍ ടൈപ് ചെയ്ത മാറ്റര്‍ വിന്‍ഡോയില്‍ പേസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിട്ട് control u പ്രസ്‌ ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് converted to unicode എന്ന മെസ്സേജ് കിട്ടുന്നുണ്ട്‌ . പക്ഷെ അത് കോപി ചെയ്ത് പേസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് വായിക്കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നില്ല . യൂണിക്കോഡ് ലേയ്ക്ക് convert ചെയ്യുന്നതിന്‍റെ സ്റ്റെപ് ബൈ സ്റ്റെപ് procedure ഒന്ന് പറയാമോ ?
ReplyDeleteConvert to Unicode എന്ന മെസ്സേജ് വന്നാല്‍ പിന്നെ പോയി കോപ്പി ചെയ്യണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ല.... അതു automatically copy ആയിട്ടുണ്ടാവും... ആവശ്യമുള്ള സ്ഥലത്ത് പേസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്താല് മാത്രം മതി...

മലയാളം ഫോണ്ട് പ്രോബ്ലം എഫ് എം എല്‍ ഫോണ്ടിലൂടെ എക്‌സിപോര്‍ട്ടിംഗിലൂടെയും പരിഹരിച്ചു. എനിക്കിത് മാഗസിന്‍ ലേ ഔട്ട് ചെയ്യാന്‍ വളരെ ഉപകാര പ്രദമാകും. താങ്‌സുണ്ട്. ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ചെറിയ ഒരു കുഴപ്പം വലിയ പ്രശ്‌നമില്ല. എങ്കിലും 'ന്റ്' എന്നെഴുതുമ്പോള്‍ ഇന്‍ഡിസൈനില്‍ ഹൈപ്പനേഷന്‍ കൂടുതലായി കാണുന്നു അതു പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ മാര്‍ഗമുണ്ടോ ചന്ദ്രകല നയുടെ വള്ളിയിലേക്ക് കുറച്ച് കയറി നില്‍ക്കുകയാണ്.

Typeit! ഓപ്പണ്‍ ആവുമ്പോള്‍ താല്ക്കാലികമായി ML-TTRevathi Font നിങ്ങളുടെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറില്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ആവും... അതു ക്ലോസ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് അത് പോവുകയും ചെയ്യും... രണ്ടാമതും wordല്‍ ആ ഫയല്‍ തുറക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ആദ്യം തന്നെ Typeit! തുറന്നു വെച്ചാല്‍ ഈ പ്രശ്നം ഉണ്ടാവില്ല...
മൊട്ടു സൂചിക്കാരാ താങ്കളുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ നമിക്കുന്നു. വരമൊഴി വിന്റോയിൽ ടൈപ്പു ചെയ്തു കഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോഴാണ്‌ കണ്ടത്. എവിടെ നിന്നും മലയാളം ടൈപ്പു ചെയ്യാമെന്ന സൗകര്യം ലഭിച്ചു. അതിനു ശേഷം വളരെ കാലം അന്വേഷിച്ച ശേഷമാണ്‌ ചെയ്യാവുന്ന കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഒരെഴുത്തുകാരനായ എനിക്ക് ഇതു കിട്ടിയപ്പോഴുള്ള സന്തോഷത്തിന്‌ അതിരില്ലായിരുന്നു. ഒക്കെ ഇങ്ങനെ ശരിയായിവരുമ്പോൾ ഫോണ്ട് മാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പ്രശ്നം വന്നത്. അതും താങ്കൾ പരിഹരിച്ചു. ഞാൻ ഇനി ആദ്യം തുറന്നു വെക്കുന്നത് ആയിരിക്കും. ഇതൊക്കെ ഏതെങ്കിലും പത്രങ്ങൾ വഴി പങ്കു വെക്കുന്നത് വളരെ ഉപകാരപ്രദമാകുമെന്ന് അറിയിക്കട്ടെ. വലിയ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടർ വിരുതന്മാരാണെന്ന് ധരിക്കുന്ന മഹാഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിനും ഇത്തരം അടിസ്ഥാന വിവരം പോലുമില്ല. ഒന്നു കൂടി .

Deleteരണ്ടു വര്‍ഷമായി എന്നെ അലട്ടിയിരുന്ന ഒരു പ്രശ്‌നമായിരുന്നു, ടൈപ്പിറ്റില്‍ നിന്ന് യൂനികോഡിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുമ്പോള്‍ ഫോണ്ട് മിസ്സിംഗ്. പല പ്രാവശ്യം പല രീതിയില്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചിട്ടും പ്രശ്നം പിഹരിക്കപ്പെട്ടില്ല. മംഗ്ലീഷില്‍ ടൈപ്പു ചെയ്ത് മലയാളമാക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമവും നടത്തി. മംഗ്‌ളീഷും മലയാളവും ഇല്ലാതായത് മിച്ചം. ഒടുവില്‍ ഗൂഗിളമ്മാവന്‍ മൊട്ടുസൂചിയിലേക്ക് വഴി കാണിച്ചു. താങ്കളുടെ മഹാമനസ്‌കതയാല്‍ പ്രശ്നം പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തു..... താങ്കള്‍ക്ക് നന്ദി..

Typeit is blocked. Is there any option to type panchari keyboard online with the help of typeit. If there is any other option pls inform.

ReplyDeleteതാങ്കളുടെ പ്രശ്നം ടൈപ്പ് ഇറ്റ്- ന്റെതല്ല. ഫോട്ടോ ഷോപ്പുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതാണ്. ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പില്‍ മലയാളം കൃതൃമായി ലഭിക്കണമെങ്കില്‍ ഐ.എസ്.എം എന്ന ഫോണ്ട് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു സോഫ്റ്റ്വെയര് ഇന്‍സ്റ്റാള്‍ ചെയ്യണം. സാധാരണയായി ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നവരോട് ചോദിച്ചാല്‍ എളുപ്പത്തില്‍ ഇതുസംബന്ധമായ മറുപടി ലഭിക്കും.

സുഹൃത്തേ, ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പിൽ ണ്ട, ന്ന, മുതലായ അക്ഷരങ്ങൾ എഴുതാൻ, ടൈപ്പിറ്റിൽ നിന്നും Control+G ഉപയോഗിച്ചു കോപ്പി ചെയ്യുകയും ഫോട്ടോഷോപ്പിൽ പേസ്റ്റു ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്താൽ മതി. പക്ഷേ, അതിനു മുന്പായി FML Fonts (i.e. instead of ML-TTKarthika, FML-TTKartika) ഇൻസ്റ്റാൾ ചെയ്യണം. അതു ലഭിക്കുവാൻ click on below link:

Deleteഎനിക്ക് ടൈപ്പിംഗ് അറിയാവുന്നതായിരുന്നു. കുറേ നനാളായി ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ചില്ലക്ഷരങ്ങൾ ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്ന ഫോർമാറ്റ് ഞാൻ മറന്നു പോയി. അത് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയുന്ന വിധം കാണിച്ചു തരുമോ?
